Spa & Shower Bench Options

Our Spa & Shower Benches are shipped unfinished unless you request a different finish option. For shower use, we recommend the Transparent Premium Sealant to keep the vibrant surface colors from fading for many years. For sauna use, we recommend the unfinished option because sealant or stains can cause staining issues in the hot and/or moist sauna environments. If your bench is for a changing room or general bathroom sitting where it will get wet minimally or not at all, the best finish option is the Wax Finish.

Shower Bench Designs

You can choose from a number of different styles for your shower bench: Lighthouse, Parquet, Maynard, Patio, and Angel's. Just pick your favorite from the drop-down list in the shopping cart. Custom Engraving

Would you like to add an engraving to your bench? We can add a custom message for only $20 for up to 50 characters (letters and spaces) or $30 for 51-100 characters. See examples to the right, shown on our Ti Amo Memorial Benches. Just select the "Custom Engraving" option in the drop-down menu in your shopping cart. The engraving size translates to about 14 characters per foot. Lettering is black. We will center the engraving on the top board of the backrest or the seat of a backless bench, unless you specify elsewhere. Please let us know your instructions on placement and line break(s)— if not specified, they will be placed at shop's discretion.

If you'd like a particular font style for your custom engraving, just send us a Word or PDF doc with the font, spacing, and wording you would like. Send it to raul@foreverredwood.com after you place your order. Be sure to let us know you're sending it in the comment box during checkout, so we know to expect it. We will do our best to match the style. Due to limitations of the engraving tool, we may not be able do extra-fancy fonts. Here is an example of the kind of document you can send us.

Memorial Plaque Inlay

We can also inlay a memorial plaque from your local engraver— we don't order or make the plaques ourselves— for no additional charge. Once your plaque is made you can ship it to us at 33800 Annapolis Rd., Annapolis, CA 95412. Be sure to let us know during checkout in the "Special Instructions & Custom Requests" comment box that you will be sending a plaque so we know to hold your bench until it arrives. Then give us a call or use our contact form when you ship it so we can be on the lookout for it. We will then inlay your plaque in the center of the top backrest board, unless otherwise specified. If placed in this location, the plaque can be up to 3" and any width you like. If there is no backrest (backless bench), please let us know where you'd like the plaque placed.

Finish Options

Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):

• Premium Sealant

  If you want to keep the natural wood tones with a translucent Alkyd oil based product. This finish will hold the surface color for an average of 4 years.

• Unfinished

  Lets you apply your own stain, or let the wood fade to a "weathered look" in a few months.

• Off-White Oil-Based Primer

  If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)

• Gray Oil-Based Primer

  If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)

• Wax Finish

  If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.
